That's pretty stupid, they should know that most people time shift these days and if I get a preview of a channel I have to pay for and find I can't DVR it, I am not going to have much of a chance to sample it and certainly I am not paying for it since they may always prevent DVR shifting. They are screwing themselves out of sales IMHO.

If you miss Apes I can make a copy for you.

    Why?

Because I despise ABC, CBS, NBC, and FOX...except for their weekend sports programming, lol.
Yeah, gotta have Showtime. They've got The Borgias.

For me, HBO went downhill after they got rid of the early 80s theme song with the model town swept through by the awesome force of the HBO airwaves.
I only now get it for Larry David and when I'm done watching his newest, I just cancel and wait for the next round.

I'm like Hector, HBO's draw is its original programing. Other than Justified and Breaking Bad, my favorite TV shows are on HBO.

Yep...The Borgias is a fun show...I also watch Nurse Jackie, Californication, Weeds...and of course...Dexter & Spartacus...their shows are just as good as HBO...

  7. Back in the day, before every feature presentation, you got the real deal -- it's funny how the new one is on the front and back of this clip, since HBO is the youtube account playing the video . . . .times have changed

I was hooked on TB for the first 3 seasons, but man they really went off the rails last season.

For me, it's worth it for Spartacus, and Game of Thrones. I like the lack of commercial interruptions, and we got such a good deal on the cost it ends up being like 10 bucks a month.

When I did have HBO I was sucked in by the original series as well. Sopranos, Rome, Carnival, etc.. These are what made HBO worth it for me before I "saw the light". SOILENT GREEN IS MADE FROM PEOPLE!!!!
