For the record, this past weekend I finally took to disassembling my set to fix the "leaning" problem and I gotta tell ya, these new bodies are tough!
Seriously I pulled, tugged, jerked and prodded them and not so much as a single crack. One thing that I did notice however is that the rubber on the feet have the black spots on them as rche had pointed out.
And also to note, once you un-criss-cross the rubber bands these guys are as perfect as a Mego body can get.Comment

I wish the arms had a swivel bicep.
CTVT is a strange company. They've produced some of the craziest accesories. The wrestling gear stuff is just surreal.Comment

My only issue with the bodies are they are too tightly strung. It's virtually impossible to get them to stand except in one position. I got the eight inch because they looked like a fair representation of my original 12 inch classics. I think these will become instant customs for people who want later (or earlier) outfits. So I think their creation was a worth while venture. If CTVT was smart, they would just make and sell costume pieces that can be made into other outfits and take KISS out of the equation so they profit more from the custom buyers. Just my thinking.Comment

If a Mego figure of God did not exist, it would be necessary for EMCE to invent him.Comment

Check out the tutorial from the customizing forum. You can get the elastic string at a fabric shop. I actually restrung the 8 inch figures and it worked pretty well. It DID take some messing around... I had to do it over a few times. Keep at it and try pulling the string very tight in different spots along the way. Also, pick up some metal jump-rings. Jump-rings are wire that has been formed into a circular ring. You'll need to put those around the arms and legs before re-stringing.Comment
