Another bit of vintage toy industry advertising. Growing up, Corgi Jrs were some of the coolest diecast around, not only because of their Superhero lines (I still have my Batmobile and Batcopter) but because they seemed to license almost every cool car from TV and movies including James Bond and Starsky and Hutch. Hopefully I'll do more on these later...

That is way cool. Looks like Neal Adams artwork. I like how he drew the pipes on the back just like the toy, not the real car.
The text is a bit odd though. Although it's really referring to his popularity and marketing clout, Batman is one of the last characters you associate with the word "powers".

Corgi.
What a cool name. I still have my Batmobile. Not sure where the Bat-copter is anymore. Still have Starsky's Ford Torino, too. The stickers a little dirty and the siren light is gone, but it still rolls pretty well!
Wished I had the Bond cars...
*Starbuck - Which Museum of Science and Industry? I grew up near Chicago with the the Coalmine, U-505 and the ginormous train set room. The Energy exhibit was always a cool "ride".Last edited by Airdave817; Jan 17, '08, 1:55 PM.Shameless self-promotion -

I remember my parents buying mine at the 5th Avenue Card Shop store. They had a glass case full of corgis. I would stand there drooling over them until finally my parents broke down and bought the Batmobile and Batboat set for me.Last edited by Marvelmania; Jan 17, '08, 3:49 PM.Comment

My grail as a kid was that James Bond car that turned into the sub, I got the Goldfinger car instead. The ejector set was fun though....Places to find PlaidStallions online: https://linktr.ee/Plaidstallions
