    Question 12inch Captain America

    Hey Guys,

    I don't know crap about 12inch Mego ...., and really don't know much about anything Carded or in the Box when it comes to vintage Mego.


    I've seen this Guy here and there the last couple of Months ....

    How Rare is the 12inch Captain America ?
    It seems like whenever I get some cash together, and go a searching ..., he seems to be nowhere, and I dunno if I am search right for him.

    His Packaging looks Fantastic ...., maybe the Best 12inch Mego Packaging to me , that I've seen.

    I don't think he's super rare loose, I found a nice one a few years ago, the loose ones seem to be missing either the boots and the shield.

    A box minty one is a bit harder and I always say if you find one and have the money snap it up.....cause it'll be gone when you come back. I never saw one when they came out in 79, I didn't know one existed till I saw a picture of one in the 90's.

    They're not super rare but they're HTF....MIB in that condition should easily fetch $350 loose mint about $150

    I agree that the packaging art for the 12.5" Cap is fantastic; the figure, on the other hand, is pretty lame ! Huge noggin, red glove gauntlets but flesh hands (why didn't they give Cap a pair of Spidey hands?), lame shield. That said, I stumbled upon one a couple years back unused with a minty, uncreased box for $99, and it is now part of my Captain America collection!

    That looks fantastic! Is the Spider-Man body bigger? It makes Cap's head look less oversized.

    yeah for some reason they put cap on the skinny 12 inch body istead of the muscle body like u see here
