To keep, I'd offer $260, and that is still high IMO...something tells me it was seriously cherry picked...for a collections...it appears pretty fragmented.

There are plenty of long standing, established comic shops on LI that I'm pretty sure they've went to and were offered a lot less then what he's asking.

To flip...you'd have to get it for a lot less then $260 for it to be even worth the effort of cataloging, taking pictures, writing up descriptions, and posting fees.

Conditions in general appear to be OK, not great, so you won't be getting top dollar if you intend to flip.

Just my 2 cents and 35+ years of collecting.

...and the 12 & 15 cent'ers are your Silver Age Books, which appear to be far less then your Bronze age material.

I would definitely buy those books, as there are some great issues in there.

I thought the 1st Thanos was Logans Run 7?
Iron Man # 55 featuring the first appearance of Thanos was 1973, whereas his appearance in a back up story in Logan's Run # 6 was 1977.

Are there any other Teen Titans books in there? The issue that's visible looks like a late Silver Age. It doesn't go for a whole lot, but it's more than a dollar. I agree that it was probably cherry-picked, so I wouldn't bet on getting any major key issues.

Actually...go to any Comic Book Shop and ask them how much they normally pay for books when folks bring them in...

You'll find out that Modern Era Books they either don't take (unless it's a KEY Issue or demand is high) or they pay by weight.

Silver and Bronze Age Books they typically pay 1/4 to 1/3 Guide based on STRICT Grading...1/2 in some rare occasion if the book is a KEY Issue or High Demand.

Golden Age tends to be 1/3 to 1/2 Guide...again...Strictly Graded. This is due to the higher return on investment.

I'd ask some of your more established Local Comic Shops that have been around for a long time...my guess is they say the same as I stated above...otherwise they'd be out of business

Again...this is if you want to flip/resell...if you really want to keep them, then pay Guide (or less) based on their individual grades.

I just got off the phone with him. Picked his brain and bit and asked if he took it to or sold any of it to others and sure enough, it was cherry picked. He sold a few issues to some others, but he was told what he has now is worth a bit of cash. I believe he said he has like Ghost Rider #1 to #20 in there.

Here is a link to some prices for Ghost Rider 1 - 20 if he's talking about the 1973 run:

Comic Books for Sale-New & Back Issues

My guess is the condition is Good-Very Good, in general...maybe Fine...based on the avg condition of the previous books that were shown.

I would search eBay to see what the going rate for those are under completed auctions...again, this is if you want to flip...

Maybe it would be easier if you just came out and said whether or not you want to keep these or sell them...

The story in Logan's Run was his first solo story I believe. He'd been in Iron Man, Captain Marvel, and (I think Avengers) before that solo. Maybe Adam Warlock too....
