I really liked it too. Never really understood the hate. I realize it was a box office bomb and went way over budget, but that is of no concern to me. I thought it was a really fun movie.

I've watched it hundreds of times...loved it!!!

"1/2 an hour, 1/2 an hour, 1/2 an hour"
    "Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn"

In the Southeast Pacific, lies the sunken city of R'Leyh. There lies C'thulhu waits to return to our world with the other Great Old Ones. A hideous creature of enormous size and alien power, it waits for it's time to return patiently. For it has all the time in the world while it waits for the stars.

I've never seen it. I don't tend to follow crowds on the popularity of hits, meaningless box office totals and such.

    Hell, I loved John Carter.....

    Tardis

I have never seen WATERWORLD so I can't say anything about it, positive or negative. Someday, when I have absolutely NOTHING else to do, I might sit down and watch it to see if it's any good....
Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.

I've never been able to get thru it. Something about Costner as a post apocaliptic Road Warrior type just doesn't fly with me.
Tomorrow is the most important thing in life. Comes into us at midnight very clean. It's perfect when it arrives and it puts itself in our hands. It hopes we've learned something from yesterday.

Not crazy about Waterworld (although it's not a bad movie)...but I don't understand the hate for Kevin Costner. Besides Clint Eastwood...Costner is the other great modern Western top star...this is without a doubt. He knows how to make a great Western film.
