It's possible, too (but expensive) to do a very impressive "Mego" Doom with various pieces of Knight & Tin Man armor.
WANTED: RM Robin & P. Parker heads; Batman "waffle" gloves; mint Wolfman tights; Knights', Merry Men, Conan, & Dale Arden swords; Lion Rock (pale) Dracula head;T1 GGoblin body (in good shape but can restring); POTA Soldier Ape minty bandolier; yellow bridle & stirrups; POTA Stallion complete set of tack; Fighting Furies Spanish & Buccaneer outfits & boxed Hook.

    That's the direction I'm heading.

square toe knight boots-black knight shoulder armor and body suit. astronaut gloves-green tunic-green cape with hood. Still considering black belt with holster.

I added Tim Man thigh armor & arm armor trimmed to gauntlets, as well. I used silver Tin Man hands.

I abandoned the astronaut gloves because, try as I might, I could not match their color/tone to vintage pieces.

Currently I'm trying to avoid 'vintage pieces' in my customs. I'm trying to stick with reproductions whenever possible. For availablity/custom purposes. Should I run into any problems with color matching, I'll just go see DrMego.
My plan here, is to complete a custom with FC head, and get an idea on how I want to sculpt my own head.

Looking through pics of the good Dr. on the web, wouldn't Doc Mego's knight gloves work well for him? I think I'd use Galahad's boots as well.
WH--? Where in blazes are we, Wall Crawler?

Yes! That is exactly how I'd do one.

It was hard to tell that these 'knight gloves' were in proportion with the 8 in. until this pic. Thanks.

Recieved Famous Covers Dr. Doom head from Garyplayswithdolls at a steal of a price. Not only did he come through, he came through with flying colors. Thank you Gary! (happy customer stuff). In colosing, if Gary contacts you with an offer, tip him well. He deserves it.
Currently sculpting neck and plug. Picture coming soon to this thread.
