    Plaid Stallions Super Belts

My buddy Steve sent me this great sales sheet for these awesome Superhero belt buckles I'm sure I saw in the Heroes World catalog when I was in short pants. It's a wonderful pistache of mid 70s Superhero merchandise, the top tier from both houses are present.

It's kind of funny how these mention "boys sizes" seeing as I can enter any major department store right now and find Superhero merchandise to cover every inch of my "lummoxy" frame. Not so much in 1975.....

Lummoxy is hilarious. It is pretty amazing, I don't think my dad would have found...or cared to find...too many superman t-shirts in his size back in the day.

These belts ring a bell for me...

Wow, those are great. I might have seen one or two of those back in the day on a kid at school. The only wearable Superhero merchandise I ever had was a Wonder Woman swimsuit.

    The Howard Wolowitz collection.

Once again, the Hulk is smaller than everyone else. It's his curse in merchandise in the 70s!

I would have worn these back then...and probably now!

Lee was still making Superman and Batman belts up into the late 80s. I know because I bought a few in my early collecting days.

Isn't it interesting how belts have become almost a fashion of the past these days? You almost never see a kid with a belt on anymore. Their doing well if they can keep their drawers from showing.
It's not how hard you hit, but how hard you can be hit and still move forward.

^I blame Mark Wahlberg for this. He brought that look to the masses. No amount of movies he makes is going to make up for that.

One would expect more from the Batman belt than holding your pants up... Through in a grappling hook at least for heck's sake!

I'm pretty sure I have a Superman buckle but it isn't in color.

I would absolutely buy these now if they came in adult sizez. I have a silver Bat logo shaped buckle now and one that is a British Royal Air Force roundel, but I tell myself it's Cap's shield.
    WANTED - Solid-Boxed WGSH's, C.8 or better.
