    1970's casting call!

Okay Webheads and Hulksters...here's a challenge for you!

Let's turn the time machine back to 1977, when Spider-Man and The Incredible Hulk were both on TV. Neither series had any super-villains from the comics...but what if they did?

I challenge any and all to come up with your perfect casting for any villain characters that could have conceivably been done with a 70's TV budget. The casting must be of a 1970's era actor who actually could have played the part.
    I'll start with my picks.

The Incredible Hulk: Series regular Gerald McRaney as the Leader

Amazing Spider-Man: Louis Jourdan as the Chameleon

Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.

OK. This one JUST hit me.

They could have gotten Andre the Giant to play The Abomination on The Incredible Hulk had they decided to use comic characters....

    Amazing Spider-Man:

Leonard Nimoy as Mysterio. Just give him the Spock haircut (minus ears) a fish bowl, and voila!

    Charles Napier as The Sandman

    I'm thinking of more...

Not bad...what do you think he would have looked like?
They would have to use makeup and maybe some kind of creature suit.

    AWESOME idea for Mysterio Chris!

How do you think they could tackle the Sandman FX?

^I'd guess they'd only allude to Sandman's ability to change to Sand. He'd turn to sand and slip under doors, etc. Spidey would get caught in a room with him and he'd turn to sand and fill the room with Spidey trying to escape. No big hammer hands or anything like that.

    Jack Nicholson IS Norman Osborne...

"Peter, you look like someone who is hiding a secret...And I know what it is."

It's not how hard you hit, but how hard you can be hit and still move forward.

I'm thinking for 70's TV going lo-tech for Spider-Man how about Tim Curry as Kraven the Hunter? Weapons and traps, no special efffects.
India recently declared dolphins to be non-human persons and deserving of specific rights. Next, they'll try to do the same thing for women.
