I've never heard of these robot toys before but they are super cool looking. Great article by the way.

By the beard of Zeus! What an awesome find.

(quick proofreading thing if you are submitting this article for publication somewhere... Did you mean "Daleks" from Doctor Who? Your spellcheck might have auto corrected that to dialects)

I remember this line well, I liked the old school robot look to the characters.

Interesting find made even better by the cost. I imagine that wave two might be out there in it's entirety in mislabled packaged, something to look out for!

Yeah the autocheck switched it on me. Nice catch and yes I worte this up for a few websites that are really interested in this piece, hence the back story and all.

Palitoy: It would be cool if the other guys came to light but like I mentioned in that really long write up, Ideal did have Series 2 packaging made up. The reason we came up with as to why its in this box is that they had to change the base on him from all the others in the line is cause he wouldn't have fit into the standard packaging that all the robots came in. So what I and some of the experts think is that this is a test package direct from Ideal's home office (which also happened to me right down the road from me in NJ) There a good chance that this figure getting out and surviving is a direct result of them having to go back and fix the base. One of the guys I spoke to about this was really hoping it was definitive proof that these toys were released in some small capacity but if anything, finding this guy just added another layer to the onion..so to speak. And yeah $25 for a one of a kind figure and on ebay of all places. Unheard of these days.
