so who tipped off the seller of this circle suit?

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...vip=true&rt=nc

obviously someone contacted this seller to tell them what they had since they cancelled this auction and relisted it as circle suit.

it is the sellers responsibility to know what they have, why do people have to go and tip them off??????

I bet they asked them first if they could sell it buy it now...when the seller refused they probably told them what it was

Wasn't me, but with Mego being so popular now and this particular item being so desirable, there are going to be people who "blow the whistle" on these things. Might as well get used to it.

I've had that happen to me as a seller, more than once, where someone messaged me about an item I described wrong or listed under the wrong category. As a seller, I appreciated their honesty & help...BUT as a BUYER...well...

Mego was listed in the title so it's not like it would have sneaked by. It still would have gotten the same amount of attention.

Yup..everyone would have seen it. There wasn't a BIN on the first listing so they probably got a few offers to purchase it outright and got suspicious as to why people were willing to take it off their hands when there's easily 10-20 Mego Spideys available on ebay at any given time. A completed auction search will show the ones that sold for a couple hundred bucks in the last few months and it isn't a difficult variant to spot once you know what you're looking at.

I get what you're saying though...you don't go up to the guy selling an original Picasso for $5 at a garage sale and tell him he's selling an original Picasso for $5! You smile hand over the money and get the hell out of there ASAP before he realizes what's going on. I do give this seller credit though, it's not like they were asking $15, realized what they had and reslisted it for $300. They simply restructured the title to reflect a Circle Suit and started the bidding off right back where it was in the original listing.

Yeah. No way this would have been "hidden" long at all.

I've seen "hidden" auctions bring more than if posted correctly
