    "RED DAWN" was one of my fave movies for a long time (and still is). Everything else you guys have named has been good, too. Might I interject, as well, the British post-nuclear war film "THREADS." That particular post-apocalyptic film gave my younger self nightmare more than a few time...

    I remember when the Hunt for Red October came out (which was in 1990, AFTER the fall of the Berlin Wall), some people thought the movie wouldn't perform well because the Cold War was "over".
    Fresh, not from concentrate.
