    Best Non-Licensed Mego line?

What do you consider the best non-licensed Mego line?

Love 'em all for different reasons--And I suspect many will choose the spiffy Knights.

(I veto the Knights because, IMO, their admittedly nice armor has design flaws.)

My (difficult) choice is the Pirates.

I just love them--colorful, great head sculpts, terrific accessories. The costumes are outstanding, too.

And if you put them in a Matchbox Sea Fury playset, it will blow your mind.

I like the Knights alot, but it always irritated me that the torso armor was glued in place. If the sword-belt had been sturdier, it & the shoulder pieces could have secured the other pieces without glue.

    Again, just my opinion.

Knights. I always hated figures with peg legs. It's hard to make them be someone else.

I would say Knights,I really think they are a cool set of figures and I love anything Medieval.

Any of the original stuff is pretty sweet, kind of partial to Robin Hood and Co.
Tomorrow is the most important thing in life. Comes into us at midnight very clean. It's perfect when it arrives and it puts itself in our hands. It hopes we've learned something from yesterday.

Mad Monsters. Terrific original designs and they glowed in the dark. Stuff that glows in the dark is total win. Seriously, that's epic. More monsters would have added to the fun but when you have the big four (Drac, Mummy, Frank and Wolfie) you are good to go. They also make good WGSH villains.

Now, the knights look great but they lack play value. King Arthur without Merlin is boring. There's also no Morgan Le Fay or Guinevere. No princess to rescue. No castle to defend or attack. No Dragons or Ray Harryhausen style skeletons to fight. They have jousting gear but can't even use it because the horses are so insane rare only a few are known to exist. A real missed opportunity and just not a lot of fun for kids.

The Robin Hood figures also look pretty nice. But, Robin Hood without Maid Marian!? What's the point.

Lastly, do the Knights, Pirates, Robin Hood or Western figures glow in the dark? No, no they do not. I rest my case.

You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...
