hand washing & air dry shouldn't be an issue . . . wouldn't wash any mego suit, any other way
I've washed quite a few F4 suits and they are always fine, just be gentle.

Thanks megojim and Kaotick for your quick responses. I was pretty sure a gentle handwashing would be ok but didn't want to take the risk without advice. Thanks again for your input.
