    Ebay does it again.....

So now anyone can claim that parts are missing or the item needed repairs and get money back from the seller.

The updated eBay Buyer Protection Policy goes into effect on June 19, 2012:

A provision has been added stipulating that in some cases we may refund part of the cost of an item to the buyer, and receive reimbursement from the seller, to cover differences between the item described and the item actually received, such as items received with small parts missing or minor repairs needed. Buyers may be asked to provide written proof from an authorized third party detailing the cost of such repairs. In these cases, we will not require the buyer to return the item to the seller.

Uhhh, that might cause a poop-load of problems for ebay itself

They're going to have to hire a lot of people to police this crap and there will be millions of people squabbling.

I think it will give ebay more headaches than they imagine

eBay as well as other on line sites are cursed with the big challenge of trying to police a bunch of people and determine who is right and who is wrong. This issue is something that I do not see going away any time in the foreseeable future.

Having said/typed the above I still stick to my guns when I say/type that I am happy to no longer be a part of the eBay shenanigans. To those that still are and wish to continue utilizing eBay all I can say is continue to enjoy the ride the best that you can for it is and will continue to be a bumpy one indeed. eBay has it's pro's and con's.

If I'm reading it right,it might be more of a problem for buyers than sellers. They have to submit proof from a third party.

---^ Buyers may be asked to provide that, but in most cases I bet their word will be taken for it.

Hoooley crap, I smell lots of scams and forced refunds yanked out of our accounts. This will hurt the small sellers big-time.

I hate so much that I have to use ebay while I'm unemployed, but they're the only reliable way I have to pay bills at the moment, if the tiny amount of money I can make there anymore counts.
Looks like it's only going to get worse and harder.

I blame this all on the fact that ebay keeps losing buyers, so they're doing everything they can to placate the buyer, even if it means keeping scammers around (so long as ebay gets money) and the sellers be damned.

Also, their wording irritates the heck out of me.

'Received' from the seller? They mean TAKEN. That really really prickles me that they'll be able to just yank or force the money back from us. It was bad enough that Paypal had that power, now we've got two of them out for us.

  10. Blujay 100% Free Online Marketplace is pretty good. Have any of you sold anything on it at all? The problem with these sites is alot of people dont know about it so it makes it sorta pointless.
