I had good success dyeing one of the old white bodysuits to an Aquaman orange color, but a long time before that I had a terrible time dyeing one black. It came out dirty gray.
I have dyed some of the older suits before. I think that there is some kind of a chemical used on the suits from the factory. I have used RIT color remover before dying and it worked good. You may want to try that next time to avoid getting a dirty grey color.

Are these the cotton body suits or the regular?
The black suits were the stretchy Mego type material,
not cotton.
Maybe those black suits were made in connection w/KISS 8" figures? The first batch may have been extras?

No, it was a regular run. There's a thread around here somewhere from when they first came out. They were also out of dark blue last time I checked.
The cotton ones fit great too, but I like the others better. They seem more Megoey to me.
