Rack Toys: Cheap, Crazed Playthings book now available!
was huge in my grade school. i don't know, i was in maybe 4th or 5th grade when it came out. loved it then and still love it now. i would love to have V retro action Re-Mego
A friend of mine went to Pratt Art College in Brooklyn the week V was coming out but was so busy with school he had not seen the promos on TV. He went out with the guys one night and came home drunk from the bar and saw a V poster in the subway. When he saw it he said, "Jeeze, what the hell did I miss this week?!?!"
"The days have gone down in the West behind the hills into shadow...How did it come to this?"
With the mini-series, the day after the episode where they had her eat the rat/hamster or whatever it was, no one would talk about anything else that day at school.
I Loved both mini- series and the regular show. i would love to see BBP announce a V series of figures. Simple red jumpsuits for several characters regular clothes for the rest. Easily a dozen characters, just release 2 figures twice a year and i'd be happy. Make the sets a Human/Visitor combo.
Wow ,the more i think about this ,the more i gotta see if brian wants to make male and female visitor suits?
"Hang on Lady... We go for a RIDE!" - Shorty to Willie Scott.Best movie line from Indiana Jones & the Temple Of Doom
Loved the original mini-series. Definitely a major TV event.
Then V: the Final Battle arrived and it wasn't so good... I later learned that Kenneth Johnson stopped work on it due to disagreements with the network and that what ended up on screen didn't reflect the original vision he had for the story's conclusion.
