Thrift store find, need some ID help

Posted this in the modern toys forum, but I thought I'd also put it over here:

Found this today at the Salvation Army- it's from BERCHET in France, but I don't know anything else about it. The car & trailer are about 12" long, the figures (hedgehog? bear?) are 8" tall with rubber heads/hands. Clothing is really well-made. It's missing a few pots & pans I think and one of the car headlights is gone.
I guess it's from a French cartoon series. Nothing on Ebay, found a few pieces on ebay.fr, but not these. No dates on it. loose pieces, no boxes.

Anybody familar with this line? Ideas on it's worth?

No, those aren't them. The Sylvanians were small 3-4" tall flocked figures, these are bigger.
The whole vehicle setup reminds me of little tykes, it's "chunky", but the figures have rubber heads, soft boddies, & the clothes are real cloth (flannel hood, corduroy pants, etc) & the shoes are vinyl with laces, velcro, etc.
