    Mego Lapel Pin

I bought a large lot of old Mego parts and figures and in them was a Mego Corp lapel pin in a little bag stapled to a small square card with Mego figures on it. Anyone familiar with these or know the origin? Old? New? Repro?

    Thanks!

I threw one up on eBay to see what happens, but you can take a look and see the pictures of what they look like. Still wondering if anyone knows the history on them...

    "Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn"

In the Southeast Pacific, lies the sunken city of R'Leyh. There lies C'thulhu waits to return to our world with the other Great Old Ones. A hideous creature of enormous size and alien power, it waits for it's time to return patiently. For it has all the time in the world while it waits for the stars.

I'm the guy that made them. I had 100 made up by an ad specialties company about ten years ago. They were shipped to me in those little plastic bags; the cards were actually business cards that I designed for myself using a scan of an old Heroes World ad. I just cut my info off so I could use the art as packaging. At the time, I think I sold them for around $5 each plus shipping. They're long gone, and I'm not even sure I thought to save one for myself, so it's definitely a rare piece. Good luck with your auction!

WOW! Never thought I'd find the guy that made them, too cool! Thanks for all the info Steve, I think they are awesome. I had 2, I'm going to leave the one up on eBay and keep the other one put away.

I've got one of those. They're really nice, and I toss it on my blazer or jacket regularly.
