So, what did you think of the new Ultimate Spider-Man toon?

I have mixed feelings about it. I like the look of it, but I'm not too keen on the over-the-top character intros and them breaking the fourth wall constantly. Seems like there's a little too much humor going on. It'll be interesting to see how it develops.

It hasn't even aired yet where I live. But I'll be sure to post my response as soon as it does!

I could write 3 paragraphs how I got the references, how newer Spider-Man fans will get introduced and feel like they know Spider-Man in the first 10 minutes, how much older fans will appreciate the amount of back-story they put into it, and how much greater this series should be. But, I can sum it up in 3 words: I. Love. It!

My whole family watched it this morning. We all liked it. It's FUN. What a change from so many comics and comic adaptations these days. It definitely has that Teen Titans feeling where anything can happen on screen at any time. I liked the voice actors. I recognized TT's Beast Boy as Iron Fist. Was J.K. Simmons voicing Jameson?

The one and only! And glad to see that I wasn't the only one who got the "Teen Titans" feeling. Who else loves Stan Lee? He was the best part!

I enjoyed it for the most part, and it was definitely great seeing Stan Lee, but I still didn't like the over the top humor.
Mariachi Band Spidey? Turning into a toaster? some of it was a little too childish for my taste.

I didn't realize this was on tonight. I did manage to catch the new Avengers episode. Loved poker night.

That didn't even happen in an episode yet.

And Mariachi Band Spider-Man was hilarious!

I have mixed feelings about it too. Breaking the fourth wall repeatedly and the over the top humor was a bit much. I think I liked the 90's older Parker a bit better. This is of course for a younger demographic so I will let the kids have their fun. I just wish Disney would release Spiderman and his Amazing Friends on DVD.

I liked it, but it reminded me of what a bad idea web-shooters are,
and how it was cool the Raimi version got rid of them entirely.
When I .... how do you say (?) .... think of my mindframe on this spaceplane, I'm Skywalker with my X-Wing like I was when I was a kid.
