Anyone remember this gem?
My all-time favorite Stallone scene was from this movie, when Stanley (grudgingly) goes to look for an engagement ring and hilarity ensues.

You are transparent; I see many things... I see plans within plans.
Pre happy days I think and just before Stallone did rocky I remember seeing it on cable in the early 80's

i remember watching it in the 80's at some point, i remember I liked it but not much about the movie itself
Here's a nice bit of trivia for you. When studio executives previewed this film in consideration of Stallone for the lead role in Rocky, they thought Perry King (pictured far right) was Stallone and agreed to cast him based on that misunderstanding! The producer Chartoff and director Avildsen never said a word.![]()
It's not how hard you hit, but how hard you can be hit and still move forward.
Stallone got Rocky, and King got...Riptide. Wow.
Chris
I seen it at the drive-in back in the day
Good movie but kind of slow moving

I used to watch that a lot with my Dad. I really like it.
Fresh, not from concentrate.
They need to go back and finish it since it is pretty much plotless and never really goes anywhere at all and barely goes into any real character development and only skims the surface. I read that they did not have much money to film or the filming had to be cut short, something along those lines. The book it was based on goes into more detail (as they usually do), but that all should have been part of the script to begin with
"What motivated him to throw a puppy at the Hells Angels is currently unclear,"
I forgot (it's been so long) did Fonzie die in it ?
