    The Lords of Flatbush

    Anyone remember this gem?

My all-time favorite Stallone scene was from this movie, when Stanley (grudgingly) goes to look for an engagement ring and hilarity ensues.

You are transparent; I see many things... I see plans within plans.

Here's a nice bit of trivia for you. When studio executives previewed this film in consideration of Stallone for the lead role in Rocky, they thought Perry King (pictured far right) was Stallone and agreed to cast him based on that misunderstanding! The producer Chartoff and director Avildsen never said a word.

Good movie but kind of slow moving

They need to go back and finish it since it is pretty much plotless and never really goes anywhere at all and barely goes into any real character development and only skims the surface. I read that they did not have much money to film or the filming had to be cut short, something along those lines. The book it was based on goes into more detail (as they usually do), but that all should have been part of the script to begin with

That was a staple here in NY on the Late Movie along with Cooley High. You'd see it probably 3 or 4 times in a year.
