    Rare Mego Batmobile Gift Set

A terrific addition today to the Megomuseum Galleries, the extremely rare Mego Comic Action Heroes Batmobile Set. This is without a doubt one of the rarest Superhero toys Mego produced, few boxed examples have survived.

The Fourth wave of Mego Star Trek Aliens are just one of the submissions to the 1978 Re:Imagined Project that's in full swing. Check out the 1978 forum to see all the submissions!

And don't forget in 6 days, we unveil the Lost Treasures of the Mego Showroom, truly the Mego find of the decade and one you won't want to miss...

Wow, I didn't even know this existed for CAH. That's a pretty good example for such a rare piece. Thanks to whomever donated these shots. Minor point, but there are some typos in the line discussing the "figures in flat (?)."

sooooo minor when compared with the total entry. It really is an impressive addition to an already impressive tome.

Oh man, that is drool-worthy. Having the World's Finest in one set like that would have made my day as a kid.

I got my Pocket Heroes Batmobile in a giftset with Batman and Robin. I've always wondered why Mego changed over to the more traditional windshield for the Pocket version?

This is actually the first picture I had ever found of this set, I can no longer find the whole picture or the site but as I recall this set (and all the memoribilia) belonged to George Barris (who of course, built the Batmobile).

Since then, I met one other collector with the set (his has WW and Superman) , who kept raising the price on me. It wasn't done to be greedy, it was done because he didn't really want to part with it.

So my memory was right, thanks a lot for confirming that. I actually toyed with emailing him and making an offer on it but kind of figured he really wouldn't be interested.
