Kansas!
Kansas!
Nice game, Kansas. The Bucks had a great season (minus February), and I'm happy that they made it this far. Good luck with Kentucky, but I don't think anyone can beat them. Withey/Davis will be fun to watch.
UL gave UK a good scare, so I was pleased. My thought was that was the best they could do, and they delivered. I was proud of them. UK will absolutely handle Kansas. I have no doubts. If they win by less than a 20 point spread, I'll be amazed. Ohio State gave that game away last night.
It's not how hard you hit, but how hard you can be hit and still move forward.
Ohio State gave the game away? Did you watch the game? KU came out in the second half like the have all year--played GREAT defense and made key shots. They pretty much took Sullinger out of the game. You probably haven't watched a Kansas game other than this one, but they've been doing this ALL YEAR. Ohio State got out played, pure and simple.
Obviously Kentucky is the clear favorite, they have been all year. 20 point spread? Don't be ridiculous.......
What was with those ugly orange uniforms, Louisville was wearing?
Ohio State ran out of gas, maybe even choked a little. But take nothing away from the Jayhawks, they made it happen in the second half.
I'd love to see Kansas win because Bill Self is one of the truly good guys in the business. Have disliked Calipari and his condescending tone since I covered the 1994 Hall of Fame game between Arkansas and UMAss to kick off the '94-95 season.
Kentucky has too much talent, but strange things have happened in the title game — NC State over Houston, Villanova over Georgetown, Duke over UNLV with Johnson and Augmon.
I hope if Kentucky wins, Calipari takes his show back to the NBA.

OSU had been relying on Deshaun Thomas during the tourney. Once he was lost to foul trouble (benched for much of the second half, 4 of 21 shooting), Kansas was able to shut down Sully (he was 5 of 21). That left Craft, Buford & Smith Jr for offense. While they're good, and Buford was pretty hot with 19 points (9 of 15), I wouldn't expect them to beat a team like Kansas. I wish OSU could've kept Deshaun on the floor...but shooting 4 of 21, I'm not sure it would've mattered.
Kansas has a shot with their big guys but i really do think Ohio St was the better team last night and matched up with UK better. But they blew it, never ever take your foot off the gas against a team like Kansas. I was so pulling for louisville, man they came close. One heck of a try. Still makes me sick Kentucky should win. I heard a reporter asked Davis how many wins it takes to win the championship and he couldn't get past five cause he was counting his fingers, guy is so dumb he forgot he had another hand. Of course that is not true.
Being from the state and having attended UK, I'm pulling for them (although I have always liked Kansas as well for some reason even I'm not sure of).
I don't think it will be a blow out. Kansas is a good team as they proved in the second half of the game the other night. But it's UK's game to win/lose I believe.
One thing that has never made sense to me is the riots that go on after a team wins. Kentucky wins and the students light bonfires, turn over cars, and create havoc. I am only using Kentucky as an example because it was on the news the other night but it seems like it happens everywhere. Back in 2000 or 2001 when the University of Maryland won the NCAA championship; the same thing happened. They lit fires in the street that burned down power lines, telephone lines, destroyed businesses, etc. I went to school there (not at that time but have no memory of this type of behavior). It's one thing to celebrate and enjoy the win but to do it in a destructive manner always baffles me.

If they only knew how pathetic that kind of behavior makes them look. Something done during these moronic riots could stay with them for the rest of their lives. Especially if they are brought up on criminal charges.
