    Me too. Man, those things were fast. So fast and so light, they would almost go airborne when you let go of of them. I didn't use the penny in them much to do wheelies. I'd rather just see them go!

    I always thought Bumblebee and Cliffjumper kind of looked like them when I got the original Transformers in 84.

    Good eye! That's what they were; the idea being Microman change would copy common household stuff. Hence transformers who turned into radios, microscopes, guns, cameras and penny racers. The original Micromen (Micromans?) were like diminutive Iotians, copying things they encounered. That's how characters like Jeeg became part of the line.
