Mike 2D scanners are not really equipped to scan 3D items. You can get good results sometimes but not always.
1 suggestion-I assume you are leaving the lid open to accomidate the 3D item you are scanning? The item does not take up the whole field of scannable galss right?
Perhaps drape a dark shirt or cloth around it so no outside light is shinning in. That might interfere with the scan. The available light will reflect of the toy. It might produce a better result. I don't think that will help much but it's worth a shot.
