Looking pretty good so far. Its probably going to help that this is a film Burton wanted to make.

I like it's Halloweeny nature. Depp looks like a vampire all the time, so they had to up the ante a bit.

Liked all the looks until Depp. He looks like he ought to be in the Addams Family rather than Dark Shadows. But, I generally like most of what Burton does. I just wonder is this going to be played straight or campy or as a parody? The original soap was super melodramatic but it wasn't intentionally funny.

Eva Green is kind of fetching as a blond and Pfeiffer is still sexy.

It'll be a little like Sleepy Hollow im thinking. Like the actors playing the parts so far (Depp has the acting chops, hope he does well.)
I really like the original actor and thought the actor from the early nineties did a great job as well.

I hope they at least try to play it straight.

I'm hopeful this film will do well. The Burton/Depp team up has never failed in my book. Looks very interesting.
It's not how hard you hit, but how hard you can be hit and still move forward.

I really enjoyed Sleepy Hollow and it's Hammer-like vibe. Dark Shadows had a similar feel about it, so I feel that this is all going to work out very well.

A few more shots here, including one where Depp's Barabas is actually on a gothic set. Works for me.
