Don't give DC any ideas or the hoody might be next year's JLA high collars.

I know DC is doing Smallville sequel comics now... Does this mean Ross proposed this in 2007?

Could be, but if he did, don't you think DC would have let him do it?

Maybe, he was just fooling around. I'm sure he probably sold those pencil sketches for a grand a piece and preliminary sketches for $500 Do I sound jealous, well I am.

Who knows what goes through DC corporate thought at any given time. They rejected Ross's Kingdom proposal in favor of Waid's fifth week event, and Ross' Shazam proposal for That Freddy Trials of Shazam take. Maybe with Smallville still on the air they didn't want to step on toes?

Those are a couple of beautiful pieces! Man, Ross REALLY knows how to make black and white shine. First one doesn't resemble Welling as much as the second, but I'd be proud to own either one (like THAT would ever be in my budget---NOT!!!).
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.

I seem to recall these were from something...maybe Wizard?

Ross painted the Smallville cast on TV Guide covers and then did that nice Welling/Chris Reeve piece as well.

I remember those tv guide covers. He did a very good job on them.

Looks like Ross stuck Welling's little boy head onto his usual Superman model, especially that second one.

I always thought the Superman on the 4th TV Guide cover looked more like Ross than his usual model. Maybe his guy was busy that week?

Those covers were nice, but Ross admitted to having to do those very quickly, without exact photo references for the actors.

I don't think Ross was even trying for a Welling look on that 4th TV Guide cover. That's just his regular Superman.
