Yup... Cotswold Collectibles was carrying them and may have 1 or 2 left... they asked us to re-order them, but we won't have very many if we do.

I have the other version of Flash Gordon and he's a keeper. Very nice figure. Would love to see him in the eight inch format.

Cotswold Collectibles has Flash Gordon right now at $39.99--get them while you can, guys! I already have one, but wanted to pass this along for anyone that was sitting on the fence before. Heck, I'm thinking about buying an extra one, at that price.

I dunno, I have to be careful with my spending right now. Not that it isn't a great figure; it is. But I was just never into Buster Crabbe's version all that much.

If it was in 8" format, with Dale Arden, I'd be all over it though.

A seller on Ebay is selling them piece by piece. I bought the head and the big ray gun.
That way I can customize his outfit.
Flash had quite a few different looks, and I'm kind of fond of this uniform style:

Is that some sort of Prussian uniform?

If I do go for his classic look (like the original figure), I'll make use of leather and real metal studs instead of the plastic belt and such. It'll be a nice winter project.

I thought about giving him a different body, because his legs are way too long, but his head wouldn't fit the ones I tried (Kaustic Plastik "KP01A" and ACI "Andrew"). It almost fit, but the ball in the head that fits onto the neck was way too loose. It was clear the head didn't go with the body.

I don't know if it's Prussian, but it definitely looks inspired by Hussars. That is a cool look.

Just got Flash's head, what a great sculpt and nice paintwork. It looks even better than expected!
As said above by Torgospizza, now the quest for a compatible body. The head comes without a neck plug, so this might be a bit of a struggle.
The big raygun is beyond cool. I'm so stoked, I ordered the Flash Gordon DVD set to get into the right mood!

If they ever make a movie about Buster Crabbe, I can't help thinking that CSI's George Eads would make a decent candidate:
                            Eads.jpg

He's a bit heavier than Crabbe was, but he has the look and the cocky smile...
