I recall a time when Spider-Man's real costume was destroyed/stolen or something, and he had to go into battle in a cheap Halloween version. It kept coming off, he even had to web his boots up. Now he walks over to his walk-in closet "Hmm...do I feel like white today? Maybe black? Hows about Halo Exo-Suit?"

Everything in the 90's was jackets and grinding teeth, they just follow whatever trend is in at the moment.........

I don't think this s a reaction to DC's new 52. Spiderman's been getting on average new Special mission suit once or twice a year now for a while. Inevitably a few months later a new action figure is released by Hasnro which reelects the new (temporary sales bump) look.

What takes the cake for me is that the Amazing Bag Man is being made into a figure... Which probably indicates a certain desperation for Spiderman variant costumes to make into toys. Although it WAS designed by McFarlane.

I don't think folks had a chance to blink after this one debuted last year before he started wearing the white FF uniform.

Lo and behold not long after

Year before that we had this one

Is it just me or are comics just becoming fashion shows for nerds?

Actually Ron Frenz designed Bag Man. I have that comic. It was a RIOT. But again, Spidey had to resort to that just to get home. Nowadays he'd have Stark International design him one and send it over. Sigh.

I just can't get into Spider-Man anymore...He's too popular within the Marvel Universe, being an Avenger, on the F.F., buddies with Iron Man, for someone that was always the underdog...

In Spider-man vs Wolverine, he was stuck on the wrong side of the Berlin Wall and stole a costume that had "Die Spinne" on the back of it.

Ah yes, that's right... McFarlane's first was the 1st appearance of Venom wasn't it? Bag Man would have been before that, when he tried to get rid of the symbiote outfit.
