Just curious. Since there is such a massive wave of Mego goodness coming out this year, I think there will likely be some casualties in the mix. I believe the KISS line will be the first to see a split in sales. For myself the eight inch line is more attractive because it caters to that void many of us have wanted through the years. I already have the original 12 inch figures boxed, so there is no incentive for me to spend the kind of money CTVT are wanting to duplicate that experience. Had they been more reasonably priced, I would have bought both scales. And who buys KISS except in a set? A complete set of eight inch figures is roughly $85.00 plus shipping. A complete set of 12 inch figures is a whopping $219.00 plus shipping. What will you be buying? Just the 8 inch? Just the 12 inch? Both scales? Neither?

Just the 8"...I have no interest in the larger repros...Think OUTSIDE the Box! For the BEST in Repro & Custom Packaging! -
It will be interesting to see if ctvt intends to do costume variants for the large figures. They will make more sales in that arena, I would think.
I am pretty sure they will sell quite a few more 8" versions than the larger repros. That may even be part of the reason that the price point is high. Not only are they larger items, but they will most probably be making smaller runs of them.Comment

I've got the 8 inch pre-ordered and will most likely pick up a set of the 12 inchers later. I've got original Ace, Peter and Paul figures but they are in less than perfect shape. The variants on the 8 inch lines are kind of up in the air for me though. I don' know if I can plunk down another $85 for Dressed to Kill figures considering their just regular figures in suits. Dynasty figures would be nice especially having an 8 inch Eric Carr. I also wouldn't mind picking up a Vinnie Vincent if they decide to release one.
The most important things however will come back to the basics 1. Did they improve their quality? and 2. What will the final product look like? I'm cool with modifying this first set with Doc Mego bodies if need be but I'll be hard pressed to do it more than once. I will add this, if CTVT has improved the quality I will be the first to shout their praises from the rooftops of my blog.
Here's to hoping.Comment

8" if the production figures look good.
Have the original 12"ers MIB, and a couple loose, so will be passing on the 12".Comment

I'm going with the 8" figures, initially. Curiosity may eventually win out and I may pick up one of the 12" figures. However, I already have the original Mego 12" figures so I'm not really feeling the pull. However, like you, if they were cheaper I'd probably buy a set of the 12" along with the 8".Comment

Interested in the 8". I noticed on ebay the 8" figures come with record albums and the 12" come with KISS T-shirts. I don't own the Mego 12" so I may be looking at them down the road (but I'd still like to own the original 12").sigpic WANTED: Boxed, Carded and Kresge Carded WGSHComment
