Have You Ever Stopped Collecting A Line Becuase It Just Got Too Big?

I started collecting mini-mates pretty much as soon as they came out. I loved those little buggers and got caught in the notion of collecting something new. I've bought every wave, searched out variants and exclusives. And of course, being a nerdy collector, I've kept all the boxes, etc.

Well, after what has to be my 23rd Wolverine variation and hundreds and hundreds of these little guys, I just couldn't do it anymore. I'm raising the white flag. I've run out of space and I just am not inspired to buy First Appearance Sleepover Bruce Banner with footy PJ's and binky. I'd rather put my money into re-Megos anyway.

Did you ever back off a line that you were once full force behind simply because you were overwhelmed?

I turned my back on Hasbro Star Wars in 1998 when I realized it would just never end.

Bingo...we have a winner. I gave up on the 90's Star Wars when the really hard exclusives like the Star Wars Galaxy Magazine Leia in Hoth figure came out. I think Porkins was in the original 4 figures that were exclusive to Star Wars Galaxy Magazine Exclusives.

Isn't tortuous to see characters released that you've always wanted
and now decided you're not going to have in your collection?

I mean, I HAD to have a Yarna figure... so I nabbed 'er!

EDITED TO ADD: My cell phone spell correct spelled "Yarna" as "Yarns"
    so I just corrected it

When I .... how do you say (?) .... think of my mindframe on this spaceplane, I'm Skywalker with my X-Wing like I was when I was a kid.

as much of a completist that I am.....I to got pretty far into the minimates hole....have several hundred of them....took a break from them for a while so I dont get burnt out. focusing on my Vintage Thudnercats and Megos for a while.

I also have every single Mighty Mugg.....good thing they stopped producing them. otherwise may have had to quit them, as they take up a lot of space.

I took a break from my Cy girl/BBI collection, I'm missing some key figures that cost a pretty penny that I just can't afford right now....

The 90's Star Wars line. Overproduced and worthless.
