That is a shame about retailer's lack of confidence in female figures in this format.

Doc, it seems that Mego style figures do have a "long tail" in sales given that you have something like Night the Living Dead initially seen as not that big of a hit, being successful enough over the long haul to warrant a second series?

Would Pike and SV potentially have those kind of "legs", particularly given how well certain trek figures like Sulu for example are doing in the current after-market?

I know this is a little off-topic from this thread I started, but....
I wonder if there are any plans on re-releasing any of the previous waves of the EMCE Trek line, like Kirk, Spock, McCoy, Scotty, etc..., or any of the aliens, or doing some actual 2-pack re-releases, like Diamond Select did of the 6" Art Asylum Trek figures?
Did those happen because of specific retailer support (ie:Toys R'Us?)

Retailers were not willing to commit to the women so DST put the two
stronger characters - Pike and the Salt Vampire - together. Even those
were not big sellers, given that most retailers were cautious about
buying non-returnable merchandise in a bad economy.

Then,..could Dr. Mego be making heads or outfits so we can put together our own Vina's and Chapel figures,..this would be awesome and no need buying any rights as they would have other names like " alien woman" and "lady nurse" heads. What do you think guys and gals?

As much as I'd love to kitbash a few figures... I wouldn't want to see anything bad happen that would ruin our chances at getting official figures released. :(
