Thread: RIP Whitney Houston

  1. #31
The poor thing. She was only a year older than I am.

48 is too damned young to die, and that's the honest truth.

I can't even begin to imagine the kind of pain that her family is going through.

    Rest in Peace, Whitney.

I can't add much other than this is very sad. Hopefully she will be remembered more for her great talent, and less for the later years and all of her problems. Like Tom said, her version of the national anthem is probably the best celebrity version of all time. That alone says A LOT.

Your attitude sucks, that's for sure. You're a guest here, show some basic respect or leave.

Thanks for doing what you do.

Her death was untimely and a tremendous loss to the music industry. What a vocal range!

  5. Even after hearing this last night, it still hasnt really sunk in yet. I'll be the first to admit that I am more of a pop and rock fan but shes still a big discovery from the '80s and a big part of it. (I think "I wanna dance with somebody" is great of course) Her songs were being played at many parties I went to during my school years and that makes her a part of what Im fond of.
We all make some bad choices in life (some bigger than others) and I think she was really trying to overcome them. Addiction is a horrible thing. It goes after rich or poor. Famous or the average person. I hope she is remembered for the good things about her. What a talent that left us to soon!

How did I disrespect anybody? I did not even comment in the old thread but I did enjoy reading everyones comments good or bad.

Accusing us of censorship is disrepectful, your superbowl meltdown last week where you told people to STFU was also a real treat. We want to have fun here, all we ask is basic common courtesy. It`s not a great deal to ask.

That was a total different thread! So lets leave it in that thread. You calling me out in this thread is disrepectful. I was just stating the facts you didnt agree with certain peoples comments so you deleted them. That is censorship and I just gave my opinion that censorship sucks. I meant no disrepect. Thats what makes freedom of speech so great, we can agree to disagree.

No it`s not, I moderate these boards by signing on you agreed to our rules and regulations which are simple, fair and rarely enforced. Your posting as of late seems to be of a confrontational nature and we have had complaints. I have asked you to stop, that is all.

One last time, censorship and freedom of speech don`t fly in a house where YOU AGREE to our rules and regulations. This is a moderated forum, if we disagree on our rules, we remove your right to post here.

It is not a difficult thing, so I am not sure what you are hoping to accomplish here.

and here you are junking up the thread again after Brian and company cleaned up Botzwana's mess.
Tomorrow is the most important thing in life. Comes into us at midnight very clean. It's perfect when it arrives and it puts itself in our hands. It hopes we've learned something from yesterday.
