Why we Like Thrift Stores #736

Yep. The cover is trashed but the tape is watchable. Provided by Goodtime Video. (Not the best company to produce a Video Copy) This is the only copy I've seen EVER! Considering that it cost me about 50 cents. I'm not complaining.

Yeah, the movie is DEFINITELY cornball and you can tell that the only one really kind of getting into it is Gene. The other three are just kind of there. I've watched it a few times and it get's funnier and cornier every single time....!
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.

Cool! .50 was a steal. Damaged cover or no cover. Whenever I go to thrift stores I always look for that movie amongst all of the many of movies in hopes of getting it again one day.

I use to have the original VHS and I have absolutely no idea what the heck happened to it. ??? I guess like our original Mego's it just disappeared over time. I have it on DVD now and get it out and watch it every now and then as it brings back good child hood memories.

I actually liked the movie when I was a kid. It was pretty neat-O. Of course when I watch it now I see just how bad and fake things were in it. Still cool though.

I remember getting mine on clearance brand new at Toys R Us for .50 in the late 90's, then sold it for a whopping $75. Kind of miss it though. Just like the Star Wars Holiday Special, it looked loike a can't miss in TV guide, then was a I wish It was better after seeing it...

                        Still have my VHS copy.
Got it at Kmart or someplace like that way back when every store sold VHS movies.
Think I probably paid $10 or less for it.

Loved the movie when I saw it originally air.
What did I know? I was a young teen just developing my musical tastes and KISS was 'the' band at that time.

I still like watching the movie occasionally.
Then again, I have a thing for bad, cheesy movies anyway.
Would have been a true gem for MSTK treatment.

Actually I still have my VHS copy. I bought one of those side by side dvd/vhs recorders, and copied it to a blank dvd. Its corny, but still a cult classic.

I've got that exact VHS copy but mine is minty mint and I'm the original owner. The movie itself is also included on the KISSology V2 dvd box set.
