Those cowboys look like Bat Masterson, but maybe they weren't that small. I noticed a Cobra frogman type in there...

Anyway. I found a lot of really good vintage toys on eBay, including 70's water games.

One thing that I want to find a photo on is:

A large white mountain folding playset, 1980's, with a bubble on top that rotated into a gun turret. It may have been for robot figures. Science-fiction adventure fun.

    Thanks!

P.S. 'Dragonriders of the Styx' carded movable action figures are fantastic! I saw'em online too.

I think the playset you are looking for is the Robo Force Fortress of Steele.

          That is exactly it.

          Thanks, Gzilla2000!

I never would have thought what the name was without the photograph.

I fully remember now, but don't know the individual robot characters, because the base was probably used mostly for G.I. Joe and Star Wars.

          It still looks pretty cool.

A good time period for playsets.

The 1980s were the absolute best era for playsets. It was just insane that Hasbro made a 7 foot long aircraft carrier for G.I. Joe. My personal favorite playset had to be the Advanced Dungeons & Dragons Fortress of Fangs.

Yes. Yes that's very cool. I'm still thinking of buying one today. A friend had one, I somehow missed getting the Fortress Of Fangs.

Also skipped the U.S.S. Flagg and Star Wars Star Destroyer.

I suppose the Death Star was what got me hooked on playsets.

It would be great to design a playset some time.

Got it! It's a Mattel (1971) Big Jim net launcher from the Jungle Adventure with Real Action Gorilla set. If you need one of these, contact me.

                              Hey guys,
So as a kid in maybe 78, I had a figure that I can't find or remember.
He was a western 12", had clothing that looked like buckskin and reminded me very much of Chris from the magnificent seven, Yul Brenner.
The other thing i remeber is his arms had joints like Babie's knees. For some reason "Trooper Jones" keeps popping into my head, but I can't remember since I called him muscles since when I bent his elbows it looked to me like he was flexing his muscles.
                              Any help?

Hmmm. Sounds like some sort of Mattel 10" Big Jim figure--Dr. Steel? He could have been wearing a Tonto outfit or western Big Jim clothes from Germany.
