Film Title Wanted- Boy inside giant tire that rolls off cliff

I believe this movie may have been from early 70's, could be wrong. In color it was.

The only thing I remember about the movie was that a white & black kid were playing around in this tractor tire, like taking turns pushing each other while one is inside the empty tire, the white kid was in the tire as it rolled down a cliff or hill.

I believe the white kid was hurt very bad to where he needed medical care in America. Now I'm unsure of where these kids were from though. Seemed like africa maybe south Africa, cant even recall if it was in english.

I saw it many times on NY stations way back when i was young.

    That's all I can remember.

Does anyone have any recollections about this movie as well or know the name of the movie?

Holy cow toysrus. This is a movie scene that has been stuck in my head since the 70s as well. I recall only that one scene, and I've never been able to ID it. I'm looking forward to any info you can dig up!

I only recall that the white kid's face was bloodied and he was unconscious after the tumble. I remember it as a pretty traumatic scene, and I'm pretty sure I saw it on TV in the late 70s. We had HBO very early on, so it's possible that it was on HBO.

Okay, I just spent some time googling. It looks like the movie was titled "E-Lollipop" aka "Forever Young, Forever Free" and was released in 1975.

    eLollipop (1975) - IMDb

"Question: I saw a movie in the late 1970's (prior to 1982 anyway) about two boys who were best friends. I think it was set in Africa, possibly South Africa, since the movie focused a lot on the difficulties of their inter-racial friendship. One memorable scene is the two of them rolling down a hill in large tires. I believe one of the boys ends up in an American city (New York?) looking for someone (his friend?), but he can't speak English, which is a problem until he encounters another person from his country. Any ideas? I can't place a date on it, except probably produced sometime between 1960 to 1980. I think it was in colour.
Answer: I believe the movie is E-Lollipop. The movie was made in 1976 and 22 years later a reunion was planned. Muntu Ndebele (the black kid) had descended into a life of crime and drug abuse but with the help of his crew and co-stars he turned his life around."
