Stretch Armstrong - Will Hasbro recreate the classic version?

While the movie appears to still be in the planning stages, the toy angle apparently is moving forward. The studio has brought Hasbro on board to merchandise the film. Could this mean a retro Armstrong is in the works? As much as this guy has enjoyed a pricey after life, I would have to think Hasbro would want to tap into the collector market to get a piece of that pie.

As I never intend to pay the price for a vintage....a retro one would simply be amazing!!

I'd love it. Stretch is one of my childhood grails. I was supposed to get one if I scored a goal in soccer. I finally scored, but was called offside. Luckily my dad didn't agree with the call, so it was a goal according to him. Unfortunately there were no Stretches to be found, so my mom got me the Stretch monster instead. It did NOT satiate my Stretch lust one bit. Never got him.

Stretch in my number one wanted toy. If they did a decent repro I'd definetely want one or two or three.

I am hoping for a repro Stretch Monster!

But really doubt it will happen.

My guess is the head will be modelled on whomever they cast as Stretch.
Hopefully they invent a new monster (I could see something like the Abomination from the last Hulk movie). I'd be pretty excited for a new Stretch Monster if done right.

Something that I've discovered and never shared before, Is that there were designs made for a stretch monster WITH FOUR FREAKIN' ARMS!!
I discovered the designs deep in the portfolio of some designer. This was original 70's kenner stuff too, not the 90's version. I never mentioned it before as was trying to get in contact with him to see if he still had the original drawing, possibly for sale. I sent a ton of e-mails but he never responded and the site was never updated.
I'll look and see if I can find it again.

I still want to see a Stretch head shrunken to mego scale.
