SPORTS Any love for the NHL winter classic on now?

I am a diehard Carolina Hurricanes fan and the Flyers. I think this is one of the best games of the year. Even with all the great football on now it's all hockey for me. I am really looking forward to this new NBC sports and how they cover the sport.
GO FLYERSSSSS dang the rangers just tied it at 2.

I was looking for this on XMas day when it used to be on.
Tomorrow is the most important thing in life. Comes into us at midnight very clean. It's perfect when it arrives and it puts itself in our hands. It hopes we've learned something from yesterday.

The Winter Classic has always been a New Year's Day game; it started in 2008.
I personally love it; a welcome diversion from so much football.

You must be thinking of a different game. The winter classic has always been January 1st but they moved it up a day this year cause it fell on a Sunday. The NHL knows to not fool with the NFL on a Sunday. I know were not the only 2 people on here that like Hockey.

Well, I knew it was on a holiday, could have sworn it was XMas.

nobody really, just like the idea of the outdoor game, the one at Wrigley Field was really neat to see.

I like it, but I could do with a little less hype. Still, it was nice to see clips from the alumni game.

I wish they'd do a few more of these outdoor games, maybe 4 per year, so each of the northern markets could have one every 4-5 years (with at least 1 in Canada every year). The Blue Jackets could probably sell 40-50,000 tickets to a game in Ohio Stadium, and it'd be nice to have an excuse to tailgate before a BJ's game. Maybe do it around Feb 1 so the OSU students are in town.

The hype is a part of every huge game. Other than today i thought the hype was pretty low key. Now also they pushed the start of the game back 2 hours for ice conditions so they had to fill that 2 hours. I was upset at the refs today, and they were lousy all around. Too many pucks blown dead that were still in play.
