How did you spend your last day of 2011?

Did you spend it with family?

    A crazy party?

    Walking Dead Marathon on TV?

Me? I ran a 5K... and beat my personal best time. Then went to Dairy Queen.

Just kneel. It's easier that way.

I spent it with my Mom and dad and my few other family members. I think more then ever, this was and is one of the best New Years I have had. Cant ask for anything more.I Thank the lord for granting it to me and my family.

Prior to the annual get together with my in laws I got pulled over for having a burnt out brake light while going on a last minute run for egg nog (yet another reason to not like the stuff, but the wife does so whatcha gonna do?). This led to an interesting moment of reflection on the year especially the last few months... I'll explain point by point that the cop gave me a warning about:

    1. Burnt out brake light - I haven't had time to stop

    2. Expired Drivers license (exp. 12/04) - I've so much on my mind I failed to remember the simple things such as renewing the license on my birthday.

    3. Defective windshield (there's a crack on the passenger side in my truck) - I've been too broke to fix it.

    4. Failure to update my address on my license - (This one, the dude was just being an ***)

    5. Failure to sign my registration (see number 4) - Honestly I had no idea that you had to sign the thing on the back of it.

I'm not complaining though. I am glad the boys in blue were paying attention and the cop wasn't too much of a bung hole. I actually do appreciate this little point by point example of things I need to change for the new year. Now I just hope he actually gets a couple drunks off the road tonight / this morning.
    Come play!

Had nice quite night with my 7 year old daughter.

Played games, watched movies, cooked food, baked cookies and put her to sleep.

I worked 4:30pm to 4:30am (or actually working, 20 more minutes). I can't complain too much, the double time & 1/2 pay is off the hook at nearly $90 an hour!!!

Watched 1966 Hulk cartoons, worked on customs and sat with Punkin and the Mrs. and Sammy and Zippy.

Tomorrow is the most important thing in life. Comes into us at midnight very clean. It's perfect when it arrives and it puts itself in our hands. It hopes we've learned something from yesterday.
