I can only relate what happened to me.

I got the Maya figure, because I liked the look and the hairstyle.

HOWEVER, the head is HUMONGOUS, compared to classic Mego, and I do mean that.

It's so freakishly large, it doesn't stay on the neckpost, and is always popping off!

I decided to simply put it back in the package after that, and stick it into storage.

I think that the hole for the neck post is too large for it to stay in position, and it just doesn't stay.

I don't have any experience with the Sandra head, but since that has its own neckpost like that of the males, and goes straight into the chest cavity, the chances of it popping loose are nil.

I have a Tony Verdeschi figure and he is one of the better figures I've bought.

So, if you really want them, go for it.

I plan on keeping them sealed. When I have bought from them in the past, the figures came off the card pretty easy. I love the look of the set, just scared of the packaging quality after it gets shipped. If I were planning on opening them, I wouldn't mind.

    I appreciate your thoughts JediJaida!

i have a set of these on card ,and its a fair deal.the blister come away from the card pretty easily and crack at the bottom, if you get all 20 without any card damage ,its a good deal ,but there always seems to be one that sucks, the 2 in the boxs should be ok,i can almost bet you a set that if you do take them out that both maya and sandra will have broken ankles ,beware of backward hands ,all comlinks break very easy ,i also got a loose set ,and all the chicks had bodies that had to be replaced with doctor mego bodies, and then their fine.yes maya and sandras heads are to big,and paul s are to small, but for that price its fair,if you keep them on card

I have a couple of sets of these unopened. In fact I just recently took one figure out of the box to use some stuff from it for a custom. To my suprise the figure broke easily. I am not rough with my stuff at all. I would say that this is the early CTVT run of figures which are very prone to easy damage.

If you are leaving them sealed they should stand a better chance. If you take them off the cards and try posing them you may wish you would have let them on the cards. Providing of course they stay sealed to the cards and don't fall off. So far mine have stayed attached. There again though I do not handle them often. I treat them like glass.

Over all it is a good deal for the price and you get what you pay for with CTVT.

Exactly. I currently haven't bought these and normally Space 1999 isn't terribly dear to my collecting heart. I just figure for the price i would buy a set. I am just cringing at the thought of replacing the ones that the bubble pops off of. I am a completest, so I don't wanna have to hunt down a better copy. However, $5 each is tough to beat.

I figure (no pun intended) if all else fails they are always good enough and inexpensive enough for the accessories. Not to mention the parts that can be used for customs.

The way I look at it is that they will "eventually" dry up and those that did not pull the trigger will wish that they would have after it is too late. Case in point with The Munster series. They are pretty much dried up and gone unless you find a set now and then on EvilBay.

I've got an opened set and yes the Maya and Sandra have big heads ( I've never had a problem with Maya's popping off ). The bodies are prone to breaking - male hip joints and most of the female ankles are broken by boots that are WAY to tight. All in all though for $5.00 a piece I'm happy with them.
