    Start Peddling Boy Wonder!

Another vintage toy industry ad, this time for the Empire Toys Bat Cycle. Think it has enough bats on it?

That would have been the ultimate ride as a little kid!

Besides the art used for the mego boxes, that is my favourite bit of merchandising art for the dynamic duo.

I've never seen those bikes before, amazing!

I was envious of my mate's Green Machine when we were kids, had I known that Super Hero versions existed I would have trouble for my parents around Christmas :-)

        Great addition Brian,

        Cheers,

There is just something about that era of toys-

I don't collect Batman or superhero anything; I don't even really collect a lot of Megos, and yet this ad and that Batcycle really are fun.

And you can never have too many bats...

Not to brag, but I had that Batcycle. I think I was almost too old for it when I received it, but not quite. The batcycle, at least, a good years worth of use.

I'd be remiss if I didn't mention my love for Empire's ride-on Batmobile and Batcycle, sorry if you guys have heard it before. I had both as a kid. Pretty sure I got them for my birthday when I was 3 or so. Both were lost to the ravages of time, but thanks to my lovely wife and ebay, I got them back. The Batcycle is missing the original back wheels, but it's still my second favorite piece (after the Batmobile).

This photo of my son on the Batcycle is several years old. Notice his circle-suit Spidey pajamas!

I don't think comic longboxes would make for a very comfortable bed.
