I was just thinking the other night that as much as I like the characters of Rory and Amy, they've run their course dramatically.

Why not let them settle down, have a bunch of kids and watch Eastenders.
For some reason this has me thinking about Elisabeth Sladen. I've kind of had my share of death, both in real life and in fiction.

I'm sure whoever the new female companion is they'll just have her record a voice-over prologue for the pre-beginnning titles too. I'll miss Amy tho. She is damn hot! Hopefully River gets to appear more and perhaps becomes a Romana-like companion.

For me, the only thing that would be heartbreaking is if they kept everything the same as it is

I don't know why they couldn't have left things the way they were. They had already given them a nice little send off in Season 6. But no,they had to bring them back at the end.
