Thread: Walton's Country Store

    Walton's Country Store

These suckers pop up for sale only once every few years. I have the farmhouse and would love to get the store, but not at that price. I think a mint and unused set sold a few years ago for less than this. Who says the market is down? Not on hard to find pieces

  2. This bidder is nuts!!!!!

These have been popping up alot lately and going for much less! Someone really wants this way too bad and it not indicative of the general market! Let em have their prize!

Are you sure you are not confusing this with the Walton's farmhouse set? Those have been popping up lately, but I haven't seen a store for quite some time.

I've bought two of these in a months time. I also picked up another Farmhouse recently. They have been coming up more often as of late.

  5. Exactly!!!

Not soooo rare since a member bought two of the same recently! Seems like a scam with a hint of schill bidding!

They are fairly rare. I had looked for a few years or more and just happened to win one (with no box) on eBay. Then I hit the BIN on a complete one a few weeks later. The bids look legit to me.

I got a second Farmhouse from the seller of the first Store I bought. They wanted more then I was willing to pay then a few weeks later emailed me with a fair offer so I took it.

The market is down but is remaining solid for hard to find figures like you said. High quality, rare items, tend to hold their value.

This is a nice example of the Country Store. I wish there were more pictures of the box! Funny how I love the boxes sometimes more than the toy itself

I just can't get into the Waltons line and thats a lot of mula. You could buy a lot of other htf items from more desirable lines, but I guess there must be some serious Walton fans out there.

I would guess that it helps being a crossover piece. Maggy collects the Walton's stuff. We both enjoy the show. I bought a cool, cast signed script this year. We got it from Mary McDonough who played Erin on the show. She is very nice and Maggy has chatted with her in the past. Maggy's Walton collecting brought me here due to the Mego items.

The one in the auction may be a bit nicer (the box) then the one I hit the BIN on but they are close. Ours still has the pool balls and cue in the package. I guess I don't feel so bad for paying nearly $200 for one now. I really didn't have the extra cash but they just don't show up regularly. Of course now there seems to be a frenzy. I honestly think it may be a Walton's thing since I also finally scored one of these playsets too.

The Waltons Playset is from the 1970's by AMSCO a division of Milton Bradley Co | eBay

The last one went for $100 and I had a private party offer me one at $80 but I had a feeling another would show up, which it did.
