    Uncle Jesse Variant?

So, I've seen on eBay on occasion auctions for the 3 3/4 inch "brown bearded" Uncle Jesse variant. I always thought it was a paint app issue and assumed the mistake was possible. Today, however, I found this auction which had several Dukes items in it, including a "Nylint" farm set with what looks like a brown bearded Uncle Jesse version. See Huge Dukes of Hazzard MOC Lot - 7 Different Figs! | eBay. Does this mean that Mego's Uncle Jesse never likely came as the brown-beard variant? And that any loose ones out there more likely came from the Nylint truck set? Anyone ever see a carded brown beard Uncle Jesse? (I know this won't be a hot topic on the boards, but I was sort of intrigued by this issue.)

Hunh, that's a new one. Although I do vividly remember Dukes figures being taped into generic helicopters in the mid 1980s as pilots.

The brown beards also came with in some Ertl John Deere toys. I think its very likely that all the brown beards came after Mego folded and these companies acquired the tooling for that figure. I highly doubt any brown bearded figures came out as a Mego product.

Aside: and now you are throwing out a second tease with the avatar. Spill it already!

It looks like the work of Howard Abrams post Mego. I could be wrong though.

If they were legit, you'd think people would ask more than the $10 BIN you see on most of them.
