There were stuffed toys, too, all spawned backed by a briefly run animated series!
Still have the 1st prints of that comic run. Those comics were like the Tulip craze of the 19th c(?). When the bottom fell out... it fell hard! Great artwork for all (or most) of those independents.
I really wanted to see Mami Mice get the animated toyetic treatment. Vaughn Bde's son.

Was Fish Police the one John Ritter did a voice for?
I remember there was a never-ending stream of failed anthropomorphic prime-time cartoons for a season or so there. This, Captiol Critters. I think there was at least one more. I think all of them tanked.

Of course, pulled into the Turtles Universe from their own indie comics...
Dave Sim considered adding Cerebus to the mix for two seconds before ultimately rejecting the idea.
