Plaid Stallions Strange visitor from the planet frisbee

It's amazing to think that the folks at LCA (who handled all of the DC comics characters at the time) approved weird artwork like this. The man of steel on this AHI "zing-wing" has an enormous noggin and apparently tiny baby doll like hands, kind of nightmarish if you stare long enough at it.

Funny. Cannot help but see the handwritten sticker one of six. Is Afred E. Newman on another frisbee?

Apes, Spider-Man, Batman, are Star Trek are the others I know of. Each came in multiple colors.

I like Superman's crossed arm posture, as he sends a super "really, you're going to throw that frisbee" air of indifference.

    Looks like Paul Rudd...
Walked out this morning, don't believe what I saw... Hundred billion bottles washed up on the shore
Seems i'm not alone at being alone... Hundred billion castaways, looking for a home...

AHI's art direction baffles me. They used the real Superman logo on the frisbee, but a badly redrawn version on the package. And then there's the Superman head, which looks like a decent adaptation of an early Curt Swan drawing, but his body is whacko.

BUT...this is much more interesting than the bland, repetitive style guide stuff we see nowadays.

I like the fact there's two K-Mart stickers on it.
