I'm glad Cameron from House got a good starring gig... she's been so horribly underused and off the radar for the past couple of seasons on House. It's like they didn't want to cancel her contract, so they just put her character in a holding pattern.

I liked how they handled the Dwarves. Hopefully they manage to tow that razor thin line, or else it will teeter off into some pretty goofy territory with Bashful, Sneezy, Doc etc. Having only Grumpy and Stealthy with prominent speaking parts was a good creative choice. I'm sure there is a degree of maintaining Disney's copyrights in the live action realm now that Fairy Tale reinvention are so in vogue, but perhaps the Dwarves could be reinvented further along in much the same way the other fairy tale characters have been.

I think it will. With the show being a hit now and likely to be renewed for next season it's giving the writters time to expand on existing characters as well as add new ones they bring from Disney. It's been very entertaining so far and I am looking forward to seeing Belle, Beast, Gaston, Maurice, Ariel, Aladdin and Genie.

I think Mirror gets the spotlight this weekend.

I just finished watching the mirror a little while ago. Another big hit IMO.

I liked the Mirror's story but I feel like I wrote the whole thing as I was watching it...I predicted every plot twist throughout the entire episode...

With as much sci-fi, fantasy, comics most of us have read and watched, I think it's hard to truly be taken by surprise.

But I love the look of the show, I think the characters, particularly the Queen and Rumple, are quite fun and well cast and the actors are all pretty good. It's just a fun escape, and though it has a continuing storyline and I think regular viewers are rewarded by their patronage, most episodes you get a complete story, so it remains accessible, at least at this point.

It's not a great show, but it is solid, which is better than a lot of the fantasy shows that end up on broadcast TV.

The new writer character is interesting. Will he have a fairy tale parallel?

Hmm. I was thinking he might be a descendant of one of the Brothers Grimm. Also I wonder if he's the one who wrote Henry's book.
