Question Think I may have gotten scammed...

Just curious what oterhs think about this...

I won an item a few weeks ago, acution closed on the 12th. I paid for it and waited. the person gave me positive feedback but no mention of it if was shipped or not. i sent a quick "just wanted to cinfirm shipment" email with no response. Sent another one a week later. Still no response. This was a domestic seller.

This is not a high priced item, so if this is my painful lesson, so be it.

What do you think? Oh, and as far as I know it was not from anyone on the forum.

    Thanks

I've had sellers take up to 3 weeks to send an item. Some people just don't make it a priority to get to the post office.

You can always open a claim which will "motivate" the seller to get on the ball. I would probably do that.

What kinda feedback does the seller have? Been about 2 weeks, he could just be dragging his feet about getting it in the mail.

Said they usually ship within 4 days of recieving payment. 'Score" of 159 with 98.7 % positive feedback. Most sales are between six months and 12 months with nothing in last month. I guess what gives me an odd feeling is the no reply...just tell me yes or no and we can go from there. I get that things come up and again this was not a high price item so i am fine waiting...

Not to mention some folks are at work during PO hours, so if they are busy on sat also, another week goes by. If you paid via paypal, wait 30 days then fiile for a refund.

No problem waiting and understand about work, life, and post office hours...the thing I thought strange was that, as a person who sells on Ebay fairly often, they would at least take 5 minuts and say " been busy" or " "going to the post office on...".

The only thing that bothers me is the lack of communication by the seller.

Thanks for all the input...looks like I will hurry up and wait some more...ha-ha.

I have been having tons of buying and selling problems on ebay over the last month so I understand your frustration. I usually give 2 weeks from the date I paid for the item to arrive, and then file an item not received case on the 14th day.

Lack of communication can be very irritating. If and when you do finally receive the item, you can always give them 1 star for communication.

You may want to make sure you file a claim before the time runs out. It looks like they have done this before in Feb of this year.
