Dukes 3 3/4 figures: Why is Luke so rare?

I've been trying to pick up a nice loose Luke Duke figure for a while, and I have noticed that they seem to be very rare and expensive (there is one on ebay right now at $81 with two days to go!), while loose Bo Duke figures are all over the place- in fact some sellers are selling him in bulk!

It seems that somebody found an overstock of Bo figures in recent years, so that explains the glut of those, but I would think there would still be a lot of Lukes out there.

Just try and be patient. I recently won a MOC Luke for $40.00 shipped.

See, I still have mine, but I need a new one and I noticed that Bo is all over the place, so by chance if I find a loose one I would be happy.

Ipicked up a bo and luke when I bought a general lee car for £6 this summer off of E-Bay

Well if it'll make you feel any better,I saw a loose Bo Duke figure on eBay last night going for $80+.
